Class Diversity
Learning Environment
This transdisciplinary course provided me the opportunity to work within a group & learn how students from other disciplines solve problems.
Initial Research
Under Armour
I was able to utilize Under Armour in-house experts for advice + insight to help guide my design.
Run Clubs
Interviewed high-mileage marathoners to gain understanding of their habits + routines.
Primary Research
UCLA + Run With Us
Under Armour is the athletic sponsor for UCLA. ArtCenter was granted access to interview the coaches + athletes of track & field.
Under Armour, Team Recovery.
Working with Morgan, Yenny, & Fiona, was fulfilling as a student designer because of the synergy we shared to create a common goal for the project.
We were in constant, day to day communication as a team, making small improvements for each other’s work, which lead to a cohesive solution for Under Armour Recovery.

As a team, we observed day to day activities of UCLA
track & field athlete, Jackie, to explore new opportunities of personalizing recovery.

Morgan then created austin a digital agent that leverages data collection for interactive, personalized advice.

Based off data collection, austin suggests whether Jackie should push performance or rest, recommending UA products accordingly.

Collaborating with Yenny, we created the reflect pop-up to help educate
pre-collegiate athletes interested in running.
This event is held within Under Armour's NEXT HOUSE training facility.

Jackie provided information on rest day activities, problems she has as a runner, & her ideal circumstances which aided the groundwork for revive footwear.

UCLA Track + Field Assistant Head Coach

Austin was able to provide experiences as a previous UCLA athlete as well as observations as the current Track + Field Assistant coach
